Elena Andonovska once again reminded audiences why she is one of the most beloved interpreters of Macedonian traditional and folk song, lifting a wedding’s mood with a powerful live performance that quickly spread across social media.

The singer shared a video from a recent wedding gig under a post she titled "A true wedding atmosphere with Macedonian music," showing her taking centre stage with a microphone, her trademark smile and an elegant dark‑violet dress while guests danced around her.

Family and tradition at the heart of her career

Andonovska has built a career on preserving Macedonian musical tradition, and the clip highlighted that reputation: strong vocals, clear phrasing and the energy to keep a celebration moving for hours.

Off stage she is married to fellow musician Marjan Andonovski, a member of the National Ensemble for Song and Dance "Tanec"; the couple recently marked ten years of marriage. Their family includes three sons — Josif, Andrej and Lazar — a detail fans often mention when praising the singer’s ability to balance career and family life.

She also shared a memorable anecdote from her appearance on the television programme Kafe Muabeti: "Marjan found out I had given birth when he had already started playing the wedding march. It was a moment we still tell to this day — how he cried with joy because his son had been born, while at the same time he was playing at a wedding. He rejoiced for himself and for the newlyweds," she recalled, underlining both her devotion to her profession and the private moments that shaped her life.
