Emiliano Martínez is set to join Juventus after leaving Aston Villa, with the goalkeeper expected to travel to Turin to complete the transfer announced on August 16, 2026.
The club has submitted an official offer worth 10 million euros, three of which are structured as bonuses, to secure the 33-year-old Argentina international.
The move came after a separate deal for Japanese player Suzuki — a proposed loan from Paris Saint-Germain that would have sent him immediately to Turin — collapsed, prompting Juventus to pivot quickly toward Martínez.
What comes next
Martínez, who has been a regular starter for Aston Villa and the Argentina national team, is expected to undergo a medical examination in Turin before signing terms and being presented to supporters.
The transfer represents Juventus's attempt to reinforce the goalkeeping position with an experienced international at the start of the 2026–27 season.
