Banks that paid October pensions early — retirees should check their accounts

October pension payments in North Macedonia began arriving in accounts ahead of the usual schedule: a number of banks credited funds to pensioners on October 29 and October 30, 2026, so many beneficiaries can already use their money before the start of November.

Which banks paid early

ALTA Banka Bitola and Silk Road Bank surprised customers by making the October disbursement available already on October 29. Other lenders placed pensions on clients’ accounts on October 30, the last working day of the month.

Stopanska Banka AD Skopje issued an announcement telling customers: "Dear users, we inform you that pensions for October are being processed and you can use the funds today via your payment cards or through our branches. Enjoy the month and make the most of it!"

Sparkasse Bank AD Skopje reminded clients about the new payout schedule that came into force in October 2026: "PENSION BEFORE THE FIRST! We inform you that from October 2026 a new method of pension payment has been introduced. Payments will be made on the last working day of the month. Pensions for October 2026 will be available in the accounts of all users who have a payment account with Sparkasse Bank on 30.10.2026 (Friday). You can withdraw the funds from Sparkasse Bank ATMs across the country or pay cashless at any time when you shop."

Komercijalna Banka also confirmed that pensions were posted on October 30 and are available for cash withdrawal at branches and ATMs, as well as for electronic payments. Halkbank notified customers that funds are already available and — for clients who have given the relevant consent — payouts can also be collected through the Post of North Macedonia. TTK Banka and the Central Cooperative Bank completed payments on October 30 as well.

These October payments already include the statutory increases applied from the previous month. Pensions continue to be paid with a 3 percent indexation that took effect with September’s payout. According to the legal formula (based on changes in the cost of living and average wage growth), the average pension of about 28,100 denars rises to roughly 29,000 denars (an increase between 830 and 900 denars), while higher pensions of around 45,000 denars see increases between 1,350 and 1,500 denars.

Retirees are advised to check their balances through their bank’s mobile or internet banking app, at ATMs, or directly at their bank’s branches to confirm the payment.
