EuroVolley 2026: Round-of-16 matchups confirmed, North Macedonia eliminated
All eight knockout ties are set after the final group matches; Turin and Sofia will stage the matches on 19–21 September 2026.
All eight round-of-16 pairings for EuroVolley 2026 are confirmed after the final group matches in Groups A and C were completed. Turin will host four of the knockout ties, with the other four scheduled in Sofia.
The most talked-about fixtures in Turin set up a Serbia–Slovenia clash and a host-nation meeting as Italy take on Denmark. Italy secured first place in Group A following a dramatic victory over Slovenia, while the Slovenians finished second.
Group C in Turin finished with Belgium atop the section, followed by Finland, Serbia and Denmark in that order. The Turin round-of-16 matches are scheduled for 20 and 21 September 2026.
In Sofia, the knockout stage opens with Poland versus Latvia and Germany versus Bulgaria, followed the next day by France–Portugal and Ukraine–Romania. Those Sofia ties are set for 19 and 20 September 2026.

North Macedonia ended its EuroVolley 2026 campaign in Sofia with a single victory and a fifth-place finish in Group B. Several teams also bowed out after the first phase: Sweden, Slovakia, Israel, Estonia, the Netherlands, Turkey and Switzerland.
