Fabrice Tamba returns to Tetovo after Orenburg transfer collapses
After around ten days in Russia for medicals and talks, the expected move to Orenburg fell through and he is back training with Shkëndija.
Fabrice Tamba has returned to Tetovo and rejoined training with Shkëndija after his proposed transfer to Russian side Orenburg failed to materialize.
According to the club timetable, Tamba spent roughly ten days in Russia where he underwent the required medical examinations and discussed terms with Orenburg. Because of those negotiations he was not available for Shkëndija’s recent match against Arsimi.
Club-to-club talks reportedly reached an advanced stage: Shkëndija was set to receive 250,000 euros up front, plus an additional 200,000 euros in January as part of the transfer arrangement.
Deal collapses, player returns to training
Despite the progress, no final agreement was signed and the move ultimately collapsed. Tamba turned up at Shkëndija’s training session in Tetovo on 17 September 2026, confirming that he remains a player of the Macedonian champion for the time being.
The forward is now available for the coaching staff as Shkëndija reassesses its squad options following the aborted transfer.
