Filip Antovski unveiled in Elbasan shirt
25-year-old left-back joins Albanian runners-up Elbasan after a spell at Brera; he has 23 U-21 appearances for North Macedonia.
Elbasan officially presented Filip Antovski in the club shirt on 4 September 2026 at 22:06, completing a signing the Albanian runners-up expect to strengthen their options on the left flank.
Profile and role
The 25-year-old Antovski is capable of playing as a traditional left-back as well as a more advanced wing-back, offering tactical flexibility to Elbasan's back line. The club arrives to the new season as the Albanian vice-champion from the previous campaign.
Antovski arrives after a spell with Brera. He is a product of Vardar’s youth system and in 2019 moved to Dinamo Zagreb’s second team. His senior club career has also included periods at Slavia Sofia, Austria Vienna, Istra and Karvina.
On the international stage he has represented North Macedonia’s U-21 side, collecting 23 appearances at that level.
Elbasan’s announcement included images of the player in the club kit; the signing is intended to provide experience and depth as the team prepares for domestic and regional objectives.
The transfer marks another step in Antovski’s career as he seeks regular playing time and a stable role in a club that challenged for the Albanian title last season.
