Filip Lazarov no longer coach of Interaktiv (Ratingen)
Interaktiv announced on 06.11.2026 at 15:30 that Filip Lazarov has left his coaching role after eight years with the club.

Former Macedonian international handball player Filip Lazarov is no longer the coach of the German side Interaktiv of Ratingen. The club announced the change on 06.11.2026 at 15:30 and included a message of thanks for Lazarov's work.
From player to coach: an eight-year spell in Germany
Lazarov first arrived in Germany in 2018 as a player for Interaktiv. After ending his playing career he remained with the same club in a coaching role, developing into a fixture of the team's staff.
Eight years passed since his arrival, and both parties have now decided it is time for a change in direction.
In its announcement the German club wrote: "We thank him for his engagement and dedication in recent years and wish him all the best in his personal and sporting future."
The club did not publish further details about the reasons for the separation or the next steps for its coaching setup. Lazarov's tenure at Interaktiv stretched from 2018 until the club statement on 06 November 2026; his future plans were not disclosed in the announcement.
As a former national team player, Lazarov's move from player to coach at the same German club marked a steady continuation of his professional career abroad, one that now comes to a close with this official departure.
