Venko Filipche announces master plan and urges former officials to "come to their senses"

SDSM president Venko Filipche said he will present a multi-step master plan that brings together measures from several areas and will form the basis of the party's programme, speaking to Telma ahead of a central party meeting. He said the plan will give citizens a clear view of what SDSM proposes for the country's future.

Filipche rebukes calls for his withdrawal

When asked by Telma about appeals from party members calling for his resignation and responsibility, Filipche told them to "Come to your senses; the future of the country is at stake." He framed the debate as exceeding internal party disputes and tied it to the broader national interest.

Filipche gave no timetable for the public presentation of the master plan but said it contains a series of steps across multiple policy areas intended to shape the party's platform. He underscored that citizens will be able to judge the programme on the basis of the measures it contains.

The remarks came immediately before the scheduled central party meeting, where the leadership is expected to outline next steps. Filipche emphasised that questions about his position should not distract from the content of the planned proposals.

Supporters and critics inside SDSM have debated leadership accountability in recent weeks; Filipche used his interview to refocus attention on policy proposals rather than personnel disputes.

He concluded by urging unity around the forthcoming plan and by repeating his warning that party disagreements should not endanger what he described as the country's future.
