Filipche to submit interpellation against Stoilkovic over "violent behavior"

Health Minister Venko Filipche announced on July 31, 2026 that his party will submit an interpellation against a lawmaker identified as Stoilkovic, accusing him of "violent behavior" and saying the move is meant to force a parliamentary debate over the incident.

Filipche made the declaration in a public statement at 13:06 on July 31, 2026, saying: "We are filing an interpellation against Stoilkovic for violent behavior." He called on parliamentary committees to take up the matter without delay.

What the interpellation seeks

According to the minister, the interpellation aims to establish the facts surrounding the alleged episode of aggression and to hold the responsible official to account in the Assembly. An interpellation opens a formal procedure that normally leads to a parliamentary debate and may culminate in a vote on confidence or sanctions depending on the findings.

Filipche framed the move as a response to conduct he described as unacceptable for an elected representative. He urged colleagues across the chamber to treat the case seriously and to allow the institutional process to clarify responsibility and consequences.

Opposition figures and the targeted lawmaker had not released detailed public reactions at the time of the announcement. The coming days are expected to show whether the interpellation will gather the procedural support required to advance to plenary debate.

The episode adds fresh tension to parliamentary life in Skopje as institutions prepare to address the formal complaint lodged by the minister and his parliamentary group.
