Barcelona’s head coach Hansi Flick has informed the club’s hierarchy that Ferran Torres will not be sold during the current summer transfer window, the club confirmed on August 3, 2026.
Flick regards the Spanish forward as a core element of his project and wants Torres to remain in the squad despite reported interest from Paris Saint-Germain. The coach sees Torres as an important option in the attacking group following the departure of Robert Lewandowski.
The club also plans to extend Torres’s contract after the window closes, with formal steps expected in September. The renewal would activate a mandatory payment clause of €8 million that Barcelona must pay to Manchester City.
