Franco Mastantuono officially joins Fiorentina on loan

Real Madrid have officially sent Argentine international Franco Mastantuono to Fiorentina on a season-long loan, the clubs confirmed on 7 August 2026.

The move ends weeks of speculation about the young forward's future after limited opportunities at Madrid. With heavy competition for places in the first team and a clear need for more playing time, all parties agreed a temporary transfer to Italy.

“Real Madrid and Fiorentina have reached an agreement for the loan of player Franco Mastantuono until the end of the next season, 30 June 2027,” Real Madrid said in their statement.
