Frosinone routs Fiorentina 0–3 on club's 100th birthday

29.08.2026 — In one of the early evening Serie A kickoffs (matches scheduled from 18:30), Frosinone stunned Fiorentina in Florence, beating the hosts 0:3 on the day Fiorentina marked its 100th anniversary.

Frosinone opened the scoring in the 26th minute through Raimondo. Kvernadze advanced down the left flank, followed the touchline into the penalty area and pushed the ball to Rejmond, who finished from close range to make it 0–1.

Twelve minutes later the visitors doubled their lead from a right‑side corner taken by Kalo: Brakalja rose highest in the box and headed Frosinone 0–2.

In the 68th minute Raimondo completed the turnaround for the away side — and effectively "sealed" Frosinone's win — after Brakalja played a deep ball into the penalty area; Rejmond controlled it with his head and then struck diagonally from the right to beat De Gea for 0–3.

The defeat left Fiorentina with an alarming start to the new season: after losing 4–0 to Roma in round one, the club now sits at the bottom of the table with zero points and no goals scored. Frosinone registered their first victory of the campaign.

Other Serie A results

Sassuolo defeated Torino 2–1. In the 32nd minute Vasilije Adžić set up Volpat to give Sassuolo the lead, and Komuko equalized right before halftime. Both coaches made five substitutions in the second half; the decisive moment came after Domenik Berardi entered in the 78th minute — just six minutes after replacing Bouvi — and scored from about fifteen metres, diagonally from the right, to beat goalkeeper Mascardi and secure all three points for Sassuolo.

Udinese claimed a 3–2 away win at Monza, their first victory of the season. All three Udinese goals arrived in the first half through Pjotrovski, Kamara and Ajkelenkamp. Monza had pulled level when Kalpani scored in the 37th minute, and Varela reduced the deficit in the 63rd minute but could not prevent the home side's second defeat after the opening loss to Inter.
