Georg Stojanovski was officially unveiled as a Lusail player on August 6, 2026, completing a transfer to the Qatari first-division side.
From Spartak Varna to the Gulf
The Macedonian international arrives in Qatar after a strong run of performances in the Bulgarian championship with Spartak Varna, a spell that became the springboard for the biggest move of his career to date.
Stojanovski previously had one stint in the Middle East with Hatta; the new signing is presented as a significant reinforcement for Lusail as the club strengthens its squad.
Domestically, before moving abroad, Stojanovski featured for Vardar, Teteks, Shkupi and Rabotnicki, gaining experience across North Macedonia's top clubs.
The transfer continues a recent trend of Macedonian players making moves to leagues in the Gulf region, with Lusail adding Stojanovski to its roster ahead of the new season.
