Gesture after transfer: Vanja Dragojević sends cash-filled envelopes to 25 Partizan staff
After moving to Glasgow Rangers Vanja Dragojević sent envelopes with money to 25 Partizan support staff and donated balls to the club’s youth academy.
Vanja Dragojević has made a small but striking gesture toward the people who helped shape his early career: after completing his move to Glasgow Rangers he sent envelopes with cash to a group of Partizan employees who work at SC Teleoptik.
Gift to the support staff
Dragojević, who left Partizan less than a month ago and has already made four appearances for his new club (wearing shirt number 22), chose not to limit his thanks to coaches or teammates. Instead he targeted those often called the club’s support staff — cooks, accountants, kit men, porters and physiotherapy employees — a total of 25 people who have worked with him during his development.
According to club sources, each of those 25 received an envelope containing money as a token of gratitude for their help while he grew through the ranks and eventually wore the captain’s armband at his boyhood club.
In addition to the envelopes, Dragojević also donated a batch of footballs to Partizan’s youth academy, a present meant for the next generation training at the club’s school.
The transfer to Glasgow Rangers and the quick integration into the first team — four appearances so far — have not changed the player’s decision to publicly acknowledge those behind the scenes at SC Teleoptik.
The gesture drew attention across the region as an example of a player remembering his roots immediately after a high-profile move abroad.
