Gjorche Petrov: All municipal schools will receive photovoltaics through a public-private partnership
Mayor Aleksandar Stojkoski announced installation of photovoltaic systems on seven primary schools without additional burden on the municipal budget; the municipality will receive 18% of the revenues.
Gjorche Petrov Municipality is starting the implementation of a project to install photovoltaic systems on the roofs of all seven municipal primary schools, announced Mayor Aleksandar Stojkoski.
Stojkoski explained that the project will be carried out through a public-private partnership model and that it will not bring any additional financial burden to the municipal budget. The municipality will receive 18% of the revenues that will arise from the production of electric energy.
Roofs put to use for green energy
"With this project: we put the roofs of the schools into use, we produce clean and renewable energy, we create more sustainable and energy-efficient schools, we provide a new source of income that will again be invested in projects of interest to the citizens," said Stojkoski.
The mayor emphasized that this is an investment that brings long-term value, which will have a positive impact on education, the environment and the conditions for future generations.
The statement also includes a short note about another local measure: "This year as well, for every first-grader in Gazi Baba, the Municipality gives 3,000 denars."
Details on the technical implementation and the timetable will be published after the contractual procedures with the private partner are finalized.
