Lina Gjorscheska eliminated in 2nd round at ITF W50 Istanbul

Lina Gjorscheska was eliminated in the second round of the ITF W50 tournament in Istanbul (indoor) after a 2–1 defeat to Raluca Șerban of Cyprus in a match that lasted two hours.
Match summary
The loss marked the eighth meeting between the two players; their head-to-head is now even at 4:4 in wins.
Gjorscheska started emphatically, taking the opening set 6–0 without dropping a game. The momentum swung in the second set, with Șerban reversing the scoreline and winning 6–1 to force a decider.
In the final set Șerban moved ahead 5–2. Gjorscheska narrowed the gap to 5–4, but could not extend the match after Șerban won the next game to close out the contest.
Gjorscheska is scheduled to next compete at an ITF event in Heraklion.
