Tanja Carovska accuses Avalon Production director of sexual harassment, law office denies

Singer Tanja Carovska has publicly accused Boban Milosheski, director of Avalon Production, of sexual harassment in a video she posted on social media that quickly spread online.

Carovska says the incident occurred several years ago after a birthday celebration at their colleague Kristina Arnaudova’s home. According to her account, she offered to drive Milosheski to his house, but when he asked her to stop the car he then allegedly assaulted her inside the vehicle. Carovska also says they had previously discussed him organizing a concert for her; during the alleged incident he told her: "What do you think, that I will get nothing from organizing a concert for you?"

The post provoked a wave of reactions from the music community and the public. Several fellow artists spoke in support of Carovska, including Rebeka Jankovska Risteski, who called Carovska a unique artist and criticized the dominance of the same “players” when decisions are made about who performs on major stages. Other comments, such as one from Ruzica of the band Area — "And who is this for anyone to even organize a concert for?" — drew sharp criticism from users reminding them of Carovska’s international credentials, including that her voice appears in Hollywood films such as Troy and The Passion of the Christ.

Official denial and plans for legal action

Boban Milosheski’s legal representatives, Medarski Law Office, issued a full denial and announced plans to sue for defamation. In their statement they said they take the allegations seriously but maintain the claims are "completely inaccurate" and that they have gathered evidence that, they say, unequivocally disproves the accusations. The law office added that, because of the seriousness of the allegations and the harm they cause, they will initiate legal proceedings for defamation and submit all evidence to the competent institutions in accordance with the law.

The matter is now heading toward formal legal channels and public debate continues online. Both the accusation and the denial have been posted publicly; any final determination, the parties say, will be made by the competent authorities.
