Izet Medzhiti announced the death of his father, Beqir Medzhiti, in an emotional post shared on social media, saying the family has suffered a great loss.
Funeral prayer to be held tomorrow in Čair mosque
In his message, the mayor of Čair described his father as a constant source of support and wisdom for the family and said his passing leaves a void that is hard to put into words. He added that memories, values and the advice his father left behind will remain with them.
Medzhiti wrote: "My father today delivered his soul to the Almighty God. With deep sorrow I inform you that our father, Beqir Medzhiti, has died."
The announcement prompted many expressions of sympathy and condolences under Medzhiti's post; friends, colleagues and citizens offered support and prayers for the bereaved family.
According to the information published by the family, the funeral prayer for Beqir Medzhiti will be held tomorrow after the noon prayer at the Čair mosque. The burial will follow at the cemetery in the village of Semenishte, where relatives and friends will have the opportunity to pay their last respects.
He closed his post with a final farewell and a prayer: "Father, may God have mercy on you and grant you Jannah."
