Manchester City sign Alan Elias from Palmeiras for nearly €40m
Manchester City completed the transfer of 22-year-old Alan Elias from Palmeiras for €37.5m plus bonuses up to €40m.
On 31 August 2026 Manchester City announced the signing of 22-year-old Brazilian winger Alan Elias from Palmeiras.
Deal and contract
The English club will pay €37.5 million for his transfer, with add-ons that could raise the total to €40 million. Alan signed a five-year contract and will remain at the Etihad until 2031.
Elias is a product of Palmeiras’ youth academy and made 96 appearances for their senior team, recording nine goals and 12 assists.
He arrives as an attacking reinforcement following the departure of Savinho to Tottenham. Alan becomes Manchester City’s sixth summer signing as the club continues a broad squad rebuild under Enzo Maresca.
The club confirmed the move on transfer deadline day, adding a young, pacey option to City’s forward line as they prepare for the coming season.
