GRK Ohrid stops Alkaloid 26-24; Vardar remain perfect
Ohrid halted Alkaloid’s five-match run with a 26-24 home win; Vardar beat Struga to remain unbeaten in the Super League.

GRK Ohrid ended Alkaloid’s winning streak with a 26-24 victory in the sixth round of the Super League on October 10, 2026. The result handed Alkaloid their first defeat after a run of five consecutive wins under coach Kiril Lazarov.
Goalkeeper Slavić finished the match with 10 saves, while Mate scored six goals for the winners. On Alkaloid’s side, Nikola Kosteski netted six and Damjan Mitev added five.
How the game turned
Alkaloid started strongly and led 4-7, at one point with a chance to move four goals clear but failed to do so. Powered by Slavić’s saves, Ohrid produced a 7-1 run that flipped the score and put them ahead 11-8 in the 25th minute; Kosteski momentarily halted the surge. Alkaloid also committed a technical error just before halftime, and Ohrid reached the break leading 15-11.
Ohrid continued to control the match early in the second half and opened a six-goal margin (19-13), again with Slavić playing a decisive role. After the score moved to 21-16, Alkaloid could not claw back to within three (21-18) following a turnover by Nikolov, which destabilized their rhythm. Ohrid extended the lead back to six (25-19) in the 53rd minute.
Two minutes from time Alkaloid reduced the gap to 26-23 through a strike by Gjorgjiev. Gjukić then missed a seven-metre attempt with about 90 seconds left, and a subsequent technical error by Alkaloid extinguished their final hopes of a comeback.
Elsewhere in the Super League, Vardar remain the only unbeaten side with a perfect 6-0 record after a 33-24 away win at Struga. Mladost and Pelister drew 30-30, Prilep defeated Butel Skopje 29-27 on the road, and Tikvesh edged Multi Esens 27-26.
