GRK Ohrid and Alkaloid among favourites to win the EHF European Cup

The European Handball Federation's pre-restart ranking placed GRK Ohrid as the top favorite to win the EHF European Cup this season, a list that was published ahead of the competition's continuation. The ranking covers 64 teams across the competition and positions the reigning trophy holder at the top.
The reigning champion occupies first place on the list of 64 teams, ahead of Swiss Bern and Romania's Turda. Albanian transliteration and local club names are preserved in Latin script: GRK Ohrid leads the ranking, while Alkaloid is listed as the fourth-placed favorite.
Two Macedonian contenders among the front-runners
With Alkaloid ranked fourth, North Macedonia now has two clubs among the four main contenders for the European trophy. Butel Skopje is also included on the list, positioned at 39th.
The placement signals high expectations for the Macedonian representatives as the tournament resumes. Clubs and followers will watch upcoming knockout fixtures closely to see if the ranking predictions hold true on the court.
