Group brawl in Drachevo — seven detained, hard objects used; 16-year-old injured

Seven residents of Skopje were detained after a street brawl in the Drachevo neighbourhood in the late evening hours, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported. Police say participants used hard objects during the fight and that a 16-year-old involved suffered a cut.

In an official statement the Ministry said: "On 10.08.2026 at 23:20 hours in the area of Drachevo in Skopje, police officers from SVR Skopje detained R.S.(63), B.S.(37), B.A.(20), O.S.(41), N.S.(21) and Gj.S.(33), all from Skopje, acting on a prior report that at around 22:30 hours they disturbed public order and peace with a physical altercation in which hard objects were used, whereby a laceration was inflicted on a 16-year-old who took part in the fight. After police officers arrived, one of the participants attacked a police officer with a hard object. After full documentation of the case, appropriate charges will follow," the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.

According to the Ministry's account, officers intervened after a report of an ongoing group fight. Emergency responders treated the teenager’s wound at the scene before further steps were taken.

Police detained several people on site; the official statement lists the initials and ages of the detained as quoted above. Authorities said the detainees are from Skopje and that the probe is continuing.

The Ministry added that investigations are ongoing and that, once the case file is completed, the competent prosecutor’s office will be notified and formal charges will be filed.

Officers who respond to public-order incidents say they will continue to patrol high-risk neighbourhoods and act on tips and reports from citizens to prevent similar disturbances.
