Halk Velo Green returns to Mavrovo on 8 September 2026

Halk Velo Green returns to Mavrovo on 8 September 2026, when cyclists of all levels will meet for a time-trial race that combines competition with environmental and charitable goals. Halkbank is staging the event for the seventh consecutive year and expects recreational riders, club racers, children and youth to join a day of sport and socialising.

The race forms part of the HalkEko platform, an ongoing Halkbank initiative that promotes healthy habits, active living and care for the environment by encouraging sustainable mobility and outdoor recreation.

Categories, distances and starting location

Riders can enter several categories. The Hobby category is open to both male and female recreational and professional cyclists, with age subcategories for participants aged 40–49, 50–59 and 60+. The Children category is for riders born in 2012 or later, while the Youth category covers those born between 2008 and 2011. Team ranking is also available for companies, clubs and friend groups.

Start and finish will be at the large parking lot in front of the sports hall in Mavrovo. The course measures 22 kilometres for the Hobby and Youth categories, and 12 kilometres for the Children category.

Registration is open via the trki.mk platform and runs until 31 August 2026 unless the entry limit is reached earlier. The number of participants is limited; the entry fee is 800 denars. All proceeds from entry fees will be donated to a humanitarian and socially useful cause.

Winners will receive cash prizes: in the Hobby category the male and female winners will earn 15,000 denars for first place, 10,000 for second and 5,000 for third. In the Children category the prizes are 8,000 denars for first, 5,000 for second and 3,000 for third. In the Youth category first and second places receive 5,000 denars each, and third place 3,000 denars. The top three teams will be recognised with diplomas and medals.
