Roadside confrontation near Krushopek: one assailant cocked a handgun and struck the victim
Victim reported the case to Skopje police; investigators say measures are underway to identify the attackers.
Two men intercepted a young man on the road to Krushopek on the evening of August 5, 2026; one was armed with a knife and the other drew a handgun and struck the victim with the butt, police said.
According to the report, the victim filed a complaint with the Skopje police after the confrontation on the village access road. The incident left the man shaken but police have not released information about his injuries.
Police statement and identity details
"On 05.08.2026 at around 20:00, E.J.(25) from Krushopek, Skopje, reported to the Skopje Regional Police Department that on the road to Krushopek two vehicles stopped and two persons got out, one of whom was holding a sharp object, and from the other vehicle A.S.V. from Saraj, Skopje, with whom he had a previous disagreement, drew a handgun at the complainant and then attacked him with the butt. Measures are being taken to clarify the case," the police said.
Police confirmed they have opened an investigation and are carrying out measures to identify and locate the suspects. No arrests were announced immediately following the report.
Authorities are asking anyone with information or video footage from the road near Krushopek on the evening of August 5 to contact the Skopje police to assist with the probe.
