Inter Milan sign England international Jed Spence on five-year deal
Inter Milan have signed England international Jed Spence on a five-year deal; the transfer is reported at €35 million including bonuses.
(15.08.2026 20:50) Inter Milan have completed the signing of England international Jed Spence, the club announced on Saturday evening.
Spence signs a five-year contract until June 2031
The 26-year-old defender has agreed a five-year deal with the Italian champions that runs until June 2031. Italian outlets report the transfer fee is €35 million, including add-ons stipulated in the agreement.
Spence becomes the second England international to join Inter this summer after John Stones, who arrived as a free agent from Manchester City. Inter have been reshaping their defence during the transfer window with multiple moves both in and out of the squad.
Spence joined Tottenham in 2022 from Middlesbrough for about €15 million and subsequently spent time on loan at Rennes, Leeds and Genoa. His arrival at San Siro follows other incoming business: Inter purchased the contract of Aleksandar Stanković from Club Brugge and also signed Alessandro Milani from Lazio.
At the same time, several players have left the club: Denzel Dumfries moved to Real Madrid, Davide Frattesi to Lazio, Jan Sommer to Club Brugge and Stefan de Vrij to Panathinaikos.
