Inter cruise to 3-0 win over Parma in Milan

Milan — Inter confirmed their favourite tag with a composed 3:0 victory over Parma in the sixth round of Serie A, settling the match well before half-time.

Midfield drives Inter's early advantage

Under coach Kristijan Kivu the Nerazzurri produced a controlled display in Milan. Inter opened the scoring in the 13th minute when Petar Sučić profited from an error by Keita and steered the ball past Corvi.

Just five minutes later the hosts doubled their lead from the penalty spot after Diego Carlos conceded a foul on Esposito; Hakan Calhanoglu converted the spot kick. Inter continued to punish Parma on the break, and an assist from Mkhitaryan released Marcus Thuram to make it 3-0 in the 31st minute.

Parma arrived at the game following turbulence in their coaching staff: Carlos Cuesta and the club parted ways during the international break, and newcomer Alberto Gilardino faced a heavy test in what proved a difficult debut.

The second half passed without drama as Inter managed the match and saw out a routine win to stay on course in the early Serie A table.

Final score: Inter 3, Parma 0.
