Iran offers $30,000 for each captured or killed American soldier, commander says
Major General Habibullah Hatami said the payments would come from private donations and women would receive double.
Major General Habibullah Hatami announced a cash bounty of $30,000 for any Iranian citizen who captures or kills an American soldier who attacks Iranian territory. "If an Iranian citizen captures or kills an American soldier who attacked our territory, they will receive a reward of $30,000," Hatami said.

Hatami made the offer while speaking at an event marking Journalists' Day, a detail reported by the state-linked Mehr news agency. He said the payments would be covered by private donations.
The commander also stated that women who manage to capture or kill an American soldier entering Iranian territory would receive twice the amount.
The declaration comes as tensions between Tehran and Washington have risen, with a spate of military clashes and increased friction across the Middle East in recent months.
The U.S. Department of Defense has not publicly responded to Hatami's remarks so far.
