Ivan Kukić wows audience in Trio performance video
A concert clip with the Vlatko Stefanovski Trio highlights Ivan Kukić's technique, versatility and on‑stage intensity.
Ivan Kukić, the son of Lenche and Goran Kukić and already regarded as one of the region's finest bassists, has once again captured attention after a video from a recent Vlatko Stefanovski Trio performance began circulating online.
The clip shows the young musician attacking the bass with striking ease, passion and explosive energy — a display that left the concert audience visibly impressed. His stage presence and technique have become talking points among fans and fellow players.
Recognition from peers and wide musical range
Even rock veteran Dado Topić has praised the ensemble, saying: "I heard that Vlatko Stefanovski has a boy who literally kills the bass!". Kukić is the only child of Lenche and Goran Kukić — respected Macedonian musicians known for decades with the band Jupiter and for their successes on the regional show Never Is Too Late.
Despite his musical inheritance, Ivan has forged his own path. A true multi-instrumentalist, he plays bass guitar, double bass, guitar, piano, drums and traditional folk instruments, and he studied music production and sound design.
He became a regular member of Vlatko Stefanovski's Trio at an early age and has performed in more than 130 concerts around the world with them. Beyond these collaborations, he also embarked on a solo career: his debut album "Sunday Vibes", released on Croatia Records, drew critical praise and features guest appearances by Dado Topić, Vlatko Stefanovski and Teodosii Spasov.
As a singer-songwriter he presented songs including "Bez kompas", whose video featured Vasko Todorov – Tosho Malerot. On stage Kukić says that conveying emotions is for him a passage into "another dimension" — something clearly visible in the new video that is winning attention online.
