Temporary traffic regime on the Kičevo–Ohrid highway from 28 October 2026
Temporary measures start 28 October on the Kičevo–Ohrid highway for repairs to the left carriageway between Preseka–Pesočan and the Arbinovo interchange.
From 28 October 2026 a temporary traffic regime has been introduced on the Kičevo–Ohrid highway because of repair work on a section of the carriageway.
Affected section and scope
The Automobile and Motorcycle Association of Macedonia (AMSM) says the changes refer to the stretch between Preseka – Pesočan and the Arbinovo interchange, where crews will repair the left carriageway.
AD "Ilinden" of Struga has notified that the temporary regime will remain in place until the repairs are completed. At this stage the company has not specified how long the works will last.
Roadworks are ongoing on the Kičevo–Ohrid route and on other sections, and traffic is being redirected at certain points where construction is under way.
AMSM urges drivers to obey traffic signs, adapt their speed to road conditions and exercise particular caution on stretches with active construction.
