Could DeMar DeRozan join Nikola Jokic in Denver? Nuggets among teams tracking the veteran
Denver has shown interest in the 37-year-old veteran DeMar DeRozan as it prepares for possible changes in its wing rotation.

Denver is weighing veteran options in case Peyton Watson departs, and one name that has surfaced as a potential short-term offensive boost is six-time All-Star DeMar DeRozan.
Teams circling a veteran scoring option
Nuggets interest in DeRozan comes alongside reported attention from Miami and the Washington Wizards as Denver plans contingencies for its wing rotation. Insider Mark Stein wrote: "Wizards, meanwhile, changed their plans to add another veteran this summer, showing interest in DeMar DeRozan, pressing to bring the former All-Star wing alongside teams like Miami and Denver."
DeRozan finished last season with the Sacramento Kings averaging 18.4 points per game on 49.7 percent shooting from the field. Although he did not average 20 points per game for the first time in 13 years, his mid-range scoring remains one of his most dependable weapons.
In Denver, DeRozan could complement Nikola Jokic by attacking off the dribble, operating effectively without the ball and making sound offensive decisions. His experience and high basketball IQ are cited as traits that would fit the Nuggets' system.
Bringing DeRozan to Denver would also require a role adjustment. Aside from 12 games in his rookie season, he has almost always been a starter during his career; with the Nuggets he would most likely move into a sixth-man capacity.
If the organization does move Peyton Watson, DeRozan would emerge as one of the more intriguing options to add extra scoring alongside the team's star.
