Juventus and Borussia Dortmund pursue one-year loan for Nik Voltemade
Juventus and Borussia Dortmund are both circling Nik Voltemade as Newcastle discuss a one-year loan with a €5m fee.
Juventus are negotiating with Newcastle United for a one-year loan of German forward Nik Voltemade, with Italian outlets reporting a loan fee of about €5 million and a possible buy option. The move aims to give the 24-year-old more playing time after he slipped down the pecking order.
Competition with Borussia Dortmund
Borussia Dortmund is also said to be interested in Voltemade. Dortmund have stepped up search for reinforcement following the serious injury to Yanis Konstantelias, and the club views the Newcastle forward as a potential short-term solution.
Voltemade joined Newcastle last summer from Stuttgart for around €75 million and is under contract with the English club until 2031. He made a strong start at St James' Park but gradually lost his place in the starting lineup this season.
According to reports, the proposed loan would last one year, include a fee of about €5 million, and could contain an option to buy at the end of the spell. Newcastle are willing to consider the move as they manage a large squad built after heavy summer spending.
