Juventus backs Luciano Spalletti after latest defeat

30.10.2026 — Juventus' hierarchy held a tense meeting at the Continassa training centre one day after the team's defeat to Genoa, signalling clear dissatisfaction with the players' approach but stopping short of an immediate coaching change.
Club leaders reportedly warned the squad that the current standards would not be tolerated going forward, yet for now they have expressed support for the coaching staff and the team.
From Friday the players will remain inside the club's training complex as they prepare for the Sunday trip to Napoli at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
Management decision: no immediate sack
Local reports indicate that the club does not intend to replace the coach, at least not before the end of the season. The position from the club was firm that Spalletti will stay in charge for the remainder of the campaign.
“Juventus has a clear intention for Spalletti to remain in the coaching position until the end of the season. And the coach himself has great confidence that he can very quickly pull the team out of the crisis,” the announcement says.
