North Macedonia cadets finish ninth at European Championship; qualify for 2027 World Championship and Euro 2028
The cadets went 5–3 to take ninth place among 24 teams and clinch qualification for the 2027 World Championship and Euro 2028.

North Macedonia's men's cadet handball team completed a strong campaign at the European Championship, finishing ninth among 24 teams. The squad closed the tournament with a 5–3 record and secured qualification for the World Championship next year and for the 2028 European Championship.
The players coached by Goran Kuzmanoski repeatedly showed courage and resilience throughout the event. On the court they fought "like lions", a performance that underpinned the team's climb in the final standings.
Final table and qualification
With five victories and three defeats, North Macedonia secured a top-ten finish and earned the berths that come with it: a place at the World Championship in 2027 and a spot at the European Championship in 2028.
In the overall classification North Macedonia finished ahead of several established handball nations, including Sweden, Austria, Serbia, Norway and Montenegro.
The tournament title was claimed by Germany, who defeated Slovenia in the final, while Denmark took third place.
After the closing whistle the team and the coaching staff praised the players' mentality and pointed to a positive outlook for the future; an interview with coach Goran Kuzmanoski follows in the full coverage.
