Cadets mount comeback as North Macedonia beat Switzerland 89–76

North Macedonia's cadet basketball team completed a dramatic turnaround to beat Switzerland 89–76 in Gevgelija, registering their second victory at the B‑division European Championship.

The hosts laboured through the opening half and arrived at the break facing a large deficit, but they regrouped and produced a far stronger performance after halftime.

Second half swing decides the game

The momentum shifted decisively in the third quarter, which North Macedonia won 26:14, and the cadets sealed the comeback with a 25:9 fourth quarter that turned the match into a comfortable victory.

While the Macedonian players found rhythm and intensity on the court in Gevgelija, the Swiss side struggled to respond and were unable to stop the run that swung the game.

Konevski led all scorers with 26 points for North Macedonia; Zunzurovski added 19 and Shabani finished with 18. The result gives the team their second win in this B‑division tournament.
