Kalin Ivanovski retires in second round at Pardubice 25
Ivanovski retired in the second set on Sept. 25, 2026 while leading 2–1 in games; German Klaus Pening had won the first set.
Kalin Ivanovski retired during his second-round match at the ITF Pardubice 25 tournament on September 25, 2026. He stopped play in the second set while the opponent led 1-0 in sets and Ivanovski was ahead 2-1 in games in the second set.
German player Klaus Pening prevailed. The opening set was tightly contested; Pening produced the lone break in the 11th game to move ahead 6-5 and then held serve to close the set 7-5.
Second set and retirement
The second set saw three games without any breaks before Ivanovski conceded the match and left the court. Tournament records list the result as a retirement at that point.
Ivanovski, a member of North Macedonia's Davis Cup team, spent much of the summer dealing with an injury. This Pardubice appearance was his second tournament since returning to competition.
He is entered next week at an ITF event in Slobozia, Romania, where he is scheduled to continue his comeback.
