BFNM: ZKK Kam Basket and Pro Basket Kavadarci denied licences for 2026/27
Licensing commission ruled ZKK Kam Basket and Pro Basket Kavadarci failed to meet the conditions for participation in the 2026/27 First Women’s League.
The Basketball Federation of North Macedonia announced on August 7, 2026 that its Licensing Commission has found two clubs ineligible to play in the top women's competition for the 2026/27 season.
The Commission reviewed the submitted documentation for the First Women's League and concluded that ZKK Kam Basket and Pro Basket Kavadarci did not meet the licensing criteria required to receive participation permits for 2026/27.
Decision and procedure
During the licensing process both clubs were notified in a timely manner about deficiencies in their paperwork and informed which conditions had to be satisfied to complete the procedure successfully. The Commission provided guidance and a deadline for remedying the issues.
Despite the instructions and the time allowed to correct the shortcomings, the clubs failed to fulfil the requirements set out by the Licensing System. As a result, the Licensing Commission decided not to issue licences to ZKK Kam Basket and Pro Basket Kavadarci for the 2026/27 season.
The Basketball Federation of North Macedonia said it will continue to enforce the Licensing System to ensure transparency, financial discipline and the organizational and administrative standards necessary for participation in national competitions.
The ruling affects only the participation licences for the upcoming 2026/27 First Women's League season; further procedural or appeals steps were not detailed in the announcement.
