Kire Naunovski releases new love ballad "Dojdi mi mila vecherva" — wife Marija stars in the video
The Grand show winner published an original song dedicated to his wife and made her the lead in a video shot in Sveti Nikole.
Kire Naunovski, the winner of Grand’s regional show "Nikogash ne e docna", released a new original love ballad and put his wife Marija at the centre of the accompanying music video.
Naunovski rose to regional attention during the nine-month competition with a powerful voice and an elegant stage presence that many compared to the late Marinko Rokvić; members of the show's jury and fellow Macedonian contestant Tijana Dapčević noted that Marinko would have been proud of his performances.
From the stage to his own song
After claiming the title at the end of the season, Naunovski thanked fans across North Macedonia for their support, which included live audience encouragement and Facebook voting that carried him through the rounds.
At his side throughout the run were his sons Nino and Milan and his wife Marija, who provided steady support at every televised appearance.
His new single, titled "Dojdi mi mila vecherva", is an original composition for which Naunovski wrote both the lyrics and the music. The song is dedicated to his wife, with whom he recently celebrated 18 years of marriage.
The music video, filmed on locations in his native Sveti Nikole, features Marija as the main star; the production aims for a Hollywood-like elegance, with Marija appearing in an elegant dress and model-like poses.
