Coventry win 1-0 at Nottingham Forest

Coventry recorded a 1-0 victory at Nottingham Forest on 19 September 2026, completing today’s Premier League schedule with a narrow away win.

Match turning points

The only goal came in the 55th minute when Wales international Jay Dasilva finished from close range to give Coventry the lead. The visiting side then defended their advantage as Forest pushed hard for an equaliser.

Late in the game Nottingham Forest thought they had levelled, but Igor Jesus had his 87th-minute strike ruled out for a foul on the build-up, a decision that preserved Coventry’s clean sheet.

For Coventry this was their first "positive" result of the season — having collected no points in the opening four rounds — and the three points lift them off the bottom of the table.

Nottingham Forest remain on five points after the defeat.

The match ended 0-1 in favour of the visitors, with Jay Dasilva the decisive figure.
