Kozhuf sign Serbian guard Stefan Simić
30-year-old, 193 cm Serbian guard Stefan Simić joins Kozhuf to add experience and leadership to the backcourt.
Kozhuf have strengthened their backcourt by signing 30-year-old Serbian guard Stefan Simić, the club announced as it prepares for the upcoming domestic season.
"KK Kozhuf is pleased to introduce Stefan Simić, the 30-year-old Serbian guard, who will wear the jersey of the Gevgelija club in the new season. Standing 193 centimetres tall, Simić brings extensive experience from Serbian basketball, having played for Mega Basket, Sloboda Užice, Mladost Zemun and Vršac, as well as for the Montenegrin club Sutjeska. In 2020 he won the Serbian Basketball League Cup, and he arrives at Kozhuf with ambition, experience and the desire for new victories," the club's official page said.
Background and role
At 193 cm, Simić arrives with a long résumé from Serbian competitions and a spell in Montenegro. The club expects him to inject leadership into Kozhuf's guard rotation and to be a steady on-court presence during key moments.
Throughout his career he spent time with youth and professional sides across the regional circuit, including stints at Mega Basket, Sloboda Užice, Mladost Zemun and Vršac, plus Sutjeska in Montenegro — experience the coaching staff hope will translate into immediate impact.
The signing follows a busy transfer window for the domestic league. Earlier moves reported by the clubs include Alchevski's completed transfer to Tikvesh — he is eligible to play today — while Angelov and Maksimov have been registered with Bregalnica.
