End of Traffic Chaos in Albania: Police Drones to Hunt Down Violators

Drivers in Albania will soon have to be much more careful, as the state police are introducing strict traffic control from the air. In order to put an end to the chaos and disregard for the rules, authorities have announced the massive use of police drones that will register violations in real time.

This innovation was confirmed by the Albanian Minister of Internal Affairs, Besfort Lamallari, who emphasized that the new measures are aimed at those who act privileged on the roads. According to his expectations, this modern approach should contribute to reducing traffic fatalities by as much as 45 percent.

"Wave to the Drones and Wait for the Fine"

In his address via social networks, the minister sent a sharp message to all those who violate civic norms and block the normal flow of traffic.

"If you think you are privileged and can do whatever you want in traffic, while holding up those who respect the rules, just wave to the drones above you and wait for the nearest police patrol to intercept you with a fine," Lamallari stated.

He emphasized that conscientious citizens who are late and remain stuck in traffic jams must not suffer because of someone's whim and irresponsible behavior.

The "Smart City" System Takes the Stage

In addition to unmanned aerial vehicles, the Albanian police will also rely on a network of smart cameras. These devices, which are part of the broader "Smart City" system, will soon be strategically deployed on all main routes and national access roads across the country.

With this digitalization of traffic control, the room for evading responsibility is drastically narrowed. Authorities are adamant that the time of tolerance for traffic lawlessness is over.

"Start getting used to the idea that rules are here to be respected by everyone," the minister concluded, announcing a new era in maintaining order on Albanian roads.
