Kravtsov: Honoured to wear the number linked to Zajec and Ademi
New Dinamo signing Kiril Kravtsov praised the legacy attached to his new squad number and looked ahead to playing at Maksimir.

Dinamo Zagreb presented Kiril Kravtsov as their newest signing on 17 August 2026, as the club prepares for a crucial Champions League qualifying tie. The 24-year-old central midfielder arrives with expectations to bolster a squad that hosts Viking FK the following day (18 August 2026) at the historic Maksimir stadium.
New arrival embraces history of the club’s number
Kravtsov spoke at his unveiling and underlined the personal meaning of the squad number he will wear at Dinamo. The player singled out two club figures associated with that number — honorary president Velimir Zajec and long-serving midfielder Arijan Ademi — as part of the legacy he wants to honour.
“I am extremely proud to have become a player of such a big club as Dinamo. I have big ambitions to experience great things together and I am convinced that will be the case. I also feel a special obligation toward Dinamo’s legendary ‘five’ — the number that was worn by greats like our honorary president Velimir Zajec and Arijan Ademi. I eagerly look forward to being ready and running out at Maksimir, a stadium where you can feel the power of great football history...” — Kravtsov said.
The club’s announcement arrives while Dinamo pursue qualification for the group stage of the UEFA Champions League; the tie against Viking is part of that campaign. Club and supporters will now watch how quickly Kravtsov adapts to his new teammates and the demands of high-stakes European fixtures.
At 24 years old, Kravtsov is expected to compete for a midfield role immediately, adding depth and fresh options for the coaching staff as Dinamo balances domestic ambitions with their continental push.
