Crisis at Partizan Handball: Club Leadership to Quit en Masse
After returning to the EHF Champions League this season, Partizan faces a potential breakup after an October 25 board meeting led to decisions for the entire leadership to step down.

Partizan's handball project appears to be collapsing just months after the team returned to the EHF Champions League. The black-and-white side built a competitive squad, but developments on and after 25 October point to a sweeping change at the club's top.
The club, long described internally as a state-backed project, collected two consecutive Serbian championship titles and four trophies in recent seasons. This summer Partizan made a return to the EHF Champions League after a 13-year absence.
Coach Raul Gonzalez arrived with several notable reinforcements from the region, raising expectations. Still, sources inside the club say that many things shifted on 25 October.
Board meeting paves way for mass departures
At a meeting of the club's Management Board final decisions were taken that will lead to the departure of the club's leadership. The entire management team is expected to leave the club.
President Miljan Žugić is expected to submit his resignation. Resignations are also anticipated from vice-presidents Dane Šijan, Momčilo Mandić and Zoran Anđelković. Vladimir Mandić, who did not hold an official position in the club, is also expected to depart Partizan.
The announcements raise immediate questions about funding, organizational continuity and the future of the team’s campaign in the EHF Champions League. The situation is developing and further confirmations from the club are expected.
