Toddler killed by dog in Arkansas; three arrested
Two-year-old Celeste Jackson was bitten and carried into nearby woods; three people face charges over alleged neglect.

A two-year-old girl, Celeste Jackson, was killed after an attack by a dog in Arkansas, authorities say. The child was bitten and carried into nearby woods before being found by responders.
The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office reported that the dog, kept in the neighbourhood, attacked the little girl, inflicting severe injuries and dragging her away from the home.
Three arrests after investigation
Following an investigation, law enforcement arrested three people: Ernest Jackson, 54; Kristina Hart, 41; and Makayla Jackson, 21. All three are charged with serious endangerment of the welfare and safety of a minor with a fatal outcome.
When police and medical teams located the child, doctors could only pronounce her dead at the scene.
The family has set up a GoFundMe campaign and posted a tribute. On the page they wrote: "Celeste was an extraordinarily smart little girl who brought so much joy into our lives. She loved watching cartoons, and her cheerful spirit touched everyone who knew her." They added: "It is extremely difficult for our family to accept this painful loss."
