Kujtim Osmani, a 19-year-old from Tetovo, has died after suffering severe injuries in a workplace accident in Italy. The incident took place in Mota di Livenza, in the province of Treviso, where he was working on the roof of an industrial facility.
According to reports, Osmani fell from the rooftop while performing work tasks and struck the ground from a height of about seven meters. Emergency medical teams were called to the scene and he was transported to a hospital in Treviso with life-threatening injuries.
Hospital treatment and aftermath
Medical staff in Treviso treated Osmani for two days, but his condition proved fatal and he died from his injuries. Italian authorities are investigating the exact circumstances of the fall as part of a broader look at safety on worksites.
The identification of the victim as Kujtim Osmani, a 19-year-old worker of Macedonian origin from Tetovo, was made public by Italian media. His death prompted deep grief among family members, relatives and friends.
His body is expected to be returned to Tetovo, where a final farewell has been announced. The funeral is scheduled for tomorrow in Tetovo after the noon prayer.
The case has again raised concerns about the risks faced by young workers who carry out tasks at height and the need for strict observance of occupational safety measures.
