Kumanovo residents try goggles that simulate drunk driving
The Prevention Unit at the Kumanovo Police and the Municipal Prevention Council staged a hands‑on demonstration to show how alcohol reduces driving ability.

Residents of Kumanovo tested special goggles that reproduce the visual distortion and coordination loss associated with alcohol impairment, in a street demonstration aimed at raising road-safety awareness.
The participants put on the goggles and attempted simple driving-related tasks under supervision, feeling firsthand how reaction times, depth perception and hand‑eye coordination deteriorate when alcohol affects the body.
Practical demonstration to show real risk
Organizers said the exercise was intended to make clear that even a small reduction in driving ability can become a serious hazard for the driver and for other road users.
The activity was carried out by the Prevention Unit at the Kumanovo Police Department and the Municipal Prevention Council. Officials described the demonstration as part of ongoing prevention efforts to reduce traffic incidents linked to impaired driving.
