Kumanovo to host the Supercup and the Macedonian Cup finals
Memorandum signed on 10 September 2026 names Kumanovo host of the Supercup and awards Macedonian Cup finals for 2027 and 2028.

Municipality of Kumanovo and the Basketball Federation of Macedonia (KFM) signed a cooperation memorandum on 10 September 2026, cementing a partnership that places organization of national cup events at the centre of their plans.
Supercup set for late September; Cup finals awarded for two seasons
Under the agreement the parties expressed the intention that the Macedonian Supercup — in both the men’s and women’s senior categories — will be held in Kumanovo on 26 or 27 September 2026. The memorandum was signed by Mayor Maksim Dimitrievski and KFM president Tome Glavchev.
As part of the same cooperation, Kumanovo was also named host of the final matches of the Macedonian Cup for the 2027 and 2028 seasons, again in both senior men’s and women’s competitions.
Mayor Maksim Dimitrievski said the memorandum strengthens ties between the municipality and the federation and underlined local investment in sports facilities and infrastructure. He added that Kumanovo aims to promote sport, sporting values and its tradition as a venue for major events.
After signing the memorandum the delegation visited Kumanovo’s sports hall earmarked to host the matches and reviewed the venue’s conditions and organisational capacity. Officials said the city will continue investing in reconstruction, modernization and improvement of sports capacities to create better conditions for athletes and clubs.
The planned Supercup date leaves little time for event preparations, making rapid coordination between the municipality, the federation and local clubs essential ahead of the late-September weekend.
