Lazio beat Parma 2-1 to stay top under Gennaro Gattuso

Lazio maintained their flying start to the Serie A season by beating Parma 2-1 at Stadio Olimpico on 24 October 2026. The victory was Lazio's seventh under coach Gennaro Gattuso and left them top of the table with 22 points after eight rounds.

The hosts controlled large parts of the match and opened the scoring in the 51st minute when Tejlor found the net. Seven minutes later Parma’s Diego Carlos turned the ball into his own goal, putting Lazio 2-0 ahead.

Late reply from Parma

Parma reduced the deficit deep into stoppage time: Lontani scored in the 90+5th minute to make the final score 2-1, but the late strike was not enough to deny Lazio the three points.

With this result Lazio sit on 22 points, having collected seven wins and one draw so far in the campaign; they also have played one match more than Inter. The victory reinforced the impression that Gattuso’s side has been the strongest team in the league in recent weeks.

The win came in Serie A round 8 and keeps pressure on title rivals as the calendar moves toward the busy autumn schedule.
