Lasana Diako: Struga TL motivated ahead of Sileks clash

Matchday six of the current PMFL season finishes on September 7, 2026, and Struga TL will host Sileks at home in a game scheduled to kick off at 16:00. Both clubs arrive with comparable ambitions: a high league position and a place in European competition.

Struga go into the fixture determined to collect maximum points at their ground. Leading the club’s public messaging before the game was forward Lasana Diako, who stressed the importance of facing a direct rival.

“The whole team is highly motivated for this match. We know we're playing a direct rival, so we are fully aware of the importance of the game. We'll give our maximum to win the three points at home,” Diako said, adding that the players understand what is at stake.

Diako underlined the need for concentration and consistency over the full 90 minutes, and identified the home stadium as an asset Struga must exploit.

“Every match is different. We'll try to maintain this good run at home, but we know we must stay focused from the first minute to the last whistle. It's up to us whether we continue this positive streak at home. We must remain focused from start to finish and give our maximum on the pitch. We hope to take the three points. I think our advantage is playing at home. Here we have good results and we know our strengths. We'll try to use the support of the fans and give everything to win the match,” the Struga TL forward said.

The encounter is seen as pivotal for both sides as they push for top places and potential European qualification; Struga will rely on home support and their recent domestic form when the referee blows for kickoff at 16:00.
