Documentary on Sport Radio 90.3 FM’s 20th anniversary to screen at Zlatibor festival
A 17‑minute film about the October 29, 2025 handball gala in Skopje will be part of the Zlatibor festival programme and screens on 21 August at 19:30.
“Legends on Stage”, a 17‑minute documentary made to mark the 20th anniversary of Sport Radio 90.3 FM in Skopje, will be screened at the 15th Zlatibor International Sports Film Festival in Serbia.
The short film reconstructs the handball gala staged on 29 October 2025 at the Jane Sandanski Sports Centre in Skopje, when nearly 4,000 spectators filled the arena to see a reunion of Macedonian, Balkan and European handball stars.
Among those who returned to the court for the celebration were Kiril Lazarov, Pepi Manaskov, Borko Ristovski, Stojanche Stoilov, Filip Mirkulovski, Arpad Sterbik, Joan Cañellas, Igor Karacic, Ivan Cupic, Renato Vugrinec, Zeljko Musa and many other notable players; the benches featured legendary coaches Lino Cervar and Veselin Vujović.
From spectacle to screen
The filmmakers say the documentary is assembled from thousands of recorded moments, testimonies and emotional snapshots of that evening and that the production aims to carry the story of the event beyond Macedonia. The film will be shown on 21 August at 19:30 in the Cultural Center Zlatibor.
“The film is part of the official programme, which also includes cinematic tributes to major sporting names such as Pelé, Dragan Džajić and Siniša Mihajlović, as well as numerous other sports stories from the region and the world. For us this is more than a festival screening. We created the spectacle. We filmed it. We turned it into a documentary. And now the story from Skopje travels onward. From Macedonia – to an international sports film festival,” the producers said.
