Lenche Kukic remains one of North Macedonia's best-known female vocalists, but her look has evolved significantly since she first appeared on the scene. Her career began when she was just 15, and over the decades she has become recognizable for an elegant, blonde image that many fans associate with her today.
Early years and a 1994 festival debut
Kukic started performing as a teenager in the group Picikato and made her first official festival appearance in 1994 at Cvetnici with the song "Baraj oko moe". In those early years she had a very different style: a short, curly black haircut and daring, tight outfits that emphasized her slim figure and TV-friendly energy.
After later reaching a wider audience — including a victory in the regional show "Nikogash ne e docna" — Kukic's charm expanded her popularity across the Balkans and helped shape the public image she carries today.
Throughout the transformation her authentic expression and smile have remained constants; fans still point to that warmth as a hallmark of her stage presence.
Unlike many peers who opt for aesthetic procedures, Kukic has publicly maintained a natural appearance. She has attributed her look to moderation, inner peace and discipline, rather than surgical change.
Offstage, she has a long-standing family life: she has been married to Goran Kukic for 30 years, and their son Ivan Kukic is following in their footsteps as a young musician.
